Resource Books
Our Resource Books are our core publications. They provide a meaningful—yet flexible—structure for examining complex events and ideas. Educators are encouraged to select the readings that are most appropriate for their students and match the objectives of their curriculum. Each follows our unique scope and sequence and focuses in-depth on particular historical case studies, such as the Holocaust, the American Eugenics movement, the Armenian Genocide, and the US Civil Rights Movement. |
Choices In Little Rock | Study Guides Facing History has produced classroom study materials to accompany books (such as Night, The Giver, and Warriors Don't Cry); films (such as Schindler's List and Becoming American); and other multimedia resources (including our own Choosing To Participate exhibit) used to teach lessons of identity, membership in society, and the legacies of history and prejudice. |
Night Guide | Readings These collections of readings are one method for Facing History to explore new content and ideas in order to keep our materials timely and relevant. Intended to be adapted for classroom use, they cover topics we've always examined, with a renewed focus on global citizenship. Think of these readings as a window into our ongoing research and development. | Video Clips: Voices of Facing History Facing History and Ourselves has been privileged to get to know, and learn from, many people from all walks of life. These video clips (in QuickTime format) are one way of introducing you to these remarkable individuals—Voices of Facing History. |
