Facing History and Ourselves online courses, workshops, and webinars are powerful learning experiences that explore our themes and pedagogy:

1. Online Courses (seven to eight weeks: become a fully trained Facing History teacher by signing up for a seven or eight week long online course that will qualify you as a member of our Educator Network. Membership in our Educator Network grants you access to the complete Facing History website, our extensive lending library, and one-on-one support from a Facing History program associate. Online courses can be taken for graduate credit.

2. Online Workshops (one to two weeks): look indepth at Facing History resources like Red Scarf Girl or Freedom Riders, or explore themes such as antisemitism, bullying, civic participation, and moral decision making in one to two week long online workshops. Like our online courses, workshops are facilitated by experienced Facing History staff and offer participants strategies and ideas on bringing our materials into their classrooms.

3. Webinars (one to two hours): explore Facing History themes and topics in live, interactive, facilitated online learning events. Features such as two-way audio, multi-point video, interactive whiteboard, application and desktop sharing, rich media, and breakout rooms allow Facing History staff and scholars to engage with participants with the benefits of a traditional classroom in a virtual setting. All sessions are recorded for those who cannot attend the live event.

Testimonials
"This course has been emotionally challenging and intellectually stimulating. It has pushed me to redirect many of my personal and professional goals. It has begun a change in who I am as a person, which will inevitably transform what I do in my classroom."—Middle School Teacher, Phoenix, Arizona

"From the beginning to end of this course, it has been valuable to hear, see, and read the voices of the individuals that became a part of history on every level. There are people and actions and choices behind each historical (and present day) event we witness."—High school Teacher, New York City, New York

"The course was a fantastic meal that I am still digesting. Most poignant for me is my own realization of the power that an individual can have in shaping and changing events."—University Professor, Nishinomiya, Hyogo-ken, Japan
