- High Speed Internet Connection.
Because this website downloads video and Flash files, it will not work from a dial-up Internet connection. You will need a DSL, cable modem, or high speed network connection.
- Platform and Current Web Browser.
This website will work on PCs or Macs, and with any current Web browser (for example, Internet Explorer, Safari, Firefox, etc.) which supports the Flash Player.
- Flash Player Installed.
In order to explore much of this site, your browser must have Adobe Flash Player. Most computers already have Flash installed. If your computer does not have Flash installed, when you click on any of the award winners from the home page, the window that pops-up will remain blank. Within a few seconds, a message should appear notifying you that the page requires Flash, and asking if you would like to install it. Click “OK” and follow the simple instructions.

- Audio and Video Capabilities.
This website requires that both sound and video cards are installed on your computer. If you have ever watched and heard video from your computer, you are ready. If not, you may want to check with a computer technician.
*If you can see video but can not hear sound, it may be that your sound is muted. Or, it may be that you do not have speakers built in to your computer, and need to use either external speakers or headphones.
- Pop-up Windows.
Some of the links on this website launch a new browser window. If you use a pop-up blocker tool, you will need to configure it to allow pop-ups for this site.
*A final note: although headphones are not a requirement, we recommend using them that if more than one person is on this website in a computer lab-type setting at the same time. It can be distracting (and loud!) if each computer is playing video at the same time.
