When does prejudice lead to violence? What is our responsibility when injustice breaks out in other parts of the world? This workshop presents the history of the often forgotten Armenian Genocide and encourages critical thinking about the role of individuals, groups, and nations in an increasingly interdependent world.  We will also explore the legacy of the Armenian Genocide and will use lessons from our study guide so that teachers can easily teach this history in their own classroom.  Guest scholar Peter Balakian, New York Times Best Selling author of Black Dog of Fate and several other books on the Armenian Genocide, will join us via Skype.
