Sacred Ground: Pluralism, Prejudice and the Promise of America: A Conversation with Eboo Patel
November 7, 2012
Houghton Chapel and Multifaith Center, Wellesley College
Meet interfaith visionary Eboo Patel and discuss his newest book, Sacred Ground: Pluralism, Prejudice and the Promise of America. Named by US News & World Report as one of America’s Best Leaders of 2009, Patel served on President Obama’s inaugural Advisory Council of the White House Office of Faith-based and Neighborhood Partnerships. Patel founded the Interfaith Youth Core to encourage young people to strengthen their identities and make the forces of interfaith cooperation stronger than the forces of religious extremism. In his new book, he explores the role of religious pluralism in American history, and issues a call to action to those who seek to secure those blessings for the future.
This event is in partnership with the Office of Religious and Spiritual Life at Wellesley College.
